Subject: RE - Amazon.fr denying credit card

Thank you all very much for your responses. We have since discovered that
Amazon.fr is coded as a "consulting firm", as is Alapage. These vendors are
blocked on our cards. It still is not clear to me why Amazon.fr is coded
that way
by their bank and none of the other Amazon's are. We have been able to
use our
credit card to make purchases in foreign currencies from other
vendors without
any problem. Also, FNAC, a vendor similar to Amazon.fr and Alapage, is not
denying our card. The number of French vendors available to us is getting
smaller and smaller.

Best regards,
Mary Harrison
