Thank you for mentioning the National Library of Ukraine in your list of
sources
of materials in Russian: (Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine -- Book
exchange
Yuriy Tkachenko Book Exchange Section Foreign Literature Acquisition Dept.).

Let me give some corrections though I am not sure they
are important.

Really our Library could be the source of such
materials but materials published in Ukraine (not in
Russia). So they will be in Russian but, as a rule,
with Ukrainian content and context.

Yuriy Tkachenko is responsible for exchange with
Slavic countries, etc., but not with the USA.

As for the address: "Victor Kamkin Bookstore, Inc.
4956 Boiling Brook Parkway, Rockville, MD"
I read some years ago (in 2002) in "The Gazette" of
the Library of Congress that this bookstore was closed
and books distributed among libraries.

     Sincerely,
             Nadiya.

Subject: RE- Sources of Materials

I have found many of your recent postings on the Acqnet
list extremely helpful. The recent source of materials in Russian and
Vietnamese being a perfect example. Have you compiled a list of sources in
Chinese? This is an area we are building but purchased a large quantity of
videos and books via a grant in which the Librarian went to China and obtained
the titles. We are looking for sources here in the states.

We have considered using the OCLC collection analysis service so I will
look closely
at the responses you have received on this.
