Subject: Rural Health/Medicine Collection Development

Hello everyone, <>
My name is Chris Childs and I am the assistant director at the TTUHSC
Odessa, TX library.
My library is in the beginning stage of getting a Rural Health/Medicine
collection together, and
I have no prior collection development experience. I was wondering if
anyone had an advice or
suggestions on how best to begin this process. I am interested in
obtaining a book list of materials
that is commonly used by medical/academic libraries. I would also be
interested to know who has
expertise in this particular type of collection development and which
libraries house the best collections. <>

Any type of guidance, advice, and/or suggestions would be very much
appreciated. <>

Best regards, <>
Chris <>
