I took this Acquisitions class as well and found it wanting. The instructors
was out of AZ (and I am on the East Coast). The online chats were a mess--not
well moderated, just a bunch of strings of thought going on all at once (maybe
I am showing my age here but I do prefer the in-person approach!) and I feel
that the exercises did not seem to match up with the material assigned. I
learned a lot and found the budgeting section (in particular) helpful. I do
think it helped if you had some previous work in the field prior to taking the
class.

I took this online course, and it was excellent. It is conducted by
professionals in the acquisitions field. One of the trainers is Virginia
Taffurelli, Head of
Technical Services at the New York Public Library, Science, Industry and
Business Library.
The online discussions were enriching, and feedback was received on all
assignments.
