Subject: Acquiring single PDF files
We are researching a situation where a faculty member has requested that
the library purchase a pdf file. The resource is only available in pdf.
Our administration is curious if any libraries have worked with vendors
offering any alternatives to the use of a site license such as simply
paying the vendor/publisher a one time, flat fee purchase and the library
can determine who can access and how access will be provided and archived.
If you have made alternative acquisitions of pdf files we would appreciate
hearing how it was accomplished.
Thank you
