Subject: Desperately Seeking Processing Costs
When a book is damaged beyond repair by a patron (or a flood), what cost
do you assign to processing the replacement to make it shelf ready?
In other words, in addition to the cost of the book, what do you charge
for processing? Searching the Internet, I have found processing charges
ranging from $10.00 to $400.00.
When you respond it would be helpful to me if you identify your
institution/library. For your help, I thank you very much.
