Subject: ACQNET: RE: Acquisitions Performance Measures
We keep statistics on number of days from request received to title
ordered; our goal is to order rush requests within 1 day of receipt
and all requests within 10 days. We also track request submission
method (written card, approval slip, or electronic); our goal is to
increase use of our homegrown electronic request system as it allows
users to track progress of their requests through ordering/receiving/
cataloging. We do weekly fund reports showing requests waiting for
processing, requests on staff desks (in process), encumbrances, and
payments; the detailed fund report is posted on the acquisitions
network so we can monitor progress in processing orders and a summary
is posted on the intranet for liaisons to monitor their subject funds.

Subject: Acquisitions Performance Measures
After doing some digging around, to little avail, I thought I'd pick
The collective brain of Acqnet. How many libraries use performance
Measures in acquisitions? What sorts of performance measures, or
statistics, do you gather? We currently don't have any in place, and
the only stats we provide are our expenditures and the number of
items received. I've got some ideas, but wanted to see what other
libraries do.
Thanks in advance!
