The web site www.bookfinder.com has offerings from thousands
of used book dealers.

At UMKC, the places to which I most frequently turn for
O.P. books are:

Alibris--www.albris.com
Bookfinder--www.bookfinder.com
Antiquarian Booksellers' Assoc. of America--www.abaa.org

I've had very good fortune through these sites. We are able to
fill 2/3 to 3/4 of our O.P. purchase requests within the time it
takes to fill a routine firm order. I wish you the same good luck.

I like Alibris.com. You can either use a credit card, in which case
The books are shipped from the dealer who has the book, or use
Purchase orders. I really prefer using PO's; the cost is a little
higher but they go to Alibris' warehouse first, so they eyeball them
and then ship them to you. I really like this feature because I'm not
billed until the book has shipped from them, not the individual
dealer. This method takes a little longer but we're generally not in
a hurry.

If I am in a hurry, I use a credit card. You can also tell by an
icon if the book is actually already in stock at Alibris, and you
can get those very quickly.

If you order a certain number of books (20?) you get free shipping.
It's really sped up the process for me, being able to do a fairly
large batch at one time (well, large for us; we're a small library).
Hope this helps.
