What's the issue? I don't understand. They've made a donation to
a non-profit organization, and why can't you use donations to your
best advantage, including selling them and buying something you
need instead? Isn't that what Goodwill, Salvation Army and others
do? I suppose in some states there might be a sales tax issue, but
that's not the same issue. But, of course, a tax attorney would be
the only one able to give a legal opinion, if that's what's desired.

We're interested in selling books through Alibris or some other
Similar vendor, but our Business Office is concerned about taxes:
specifically on books donated by individuals who have already taken
a tax deduction on those same books. Has anyone run up against this?
