This email is requesting suggestions for new foreign book vendors for
our library.

My library previously used the Franklin Book Company to purchase
monographs published in Russia, France, Italy, Spain, China, U.K. and
India. We only order about 250 foreign titles a year, mostly
pertaining to law, so it was convenient to have one vendor that could
provide materials from this range of countries.  Unfortunately, as
you may be aware, the Franklin Book Company closed suddenly a few
weeks ago.

We liked Franklin because they would invoice us in U.S. dollars, they
offered electronic ordering, the invoices arrived with the materials,
they provided a nice discount on orders, and they had excellent
customer service.

I am considering using Harrassowitz to obtain materials from Russia,
UK, France, Italy & Spain. I might supplement Harrassowitz with East
View for harder to find Russian materials.  And, I'm considering
using Mary Martin Booksellers to obtain materials from India, Asia,
and Australia/NZ.  Could people submit their opinions about their
experiences with these companies and the materials that I proposed
purchasing from the companies?

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
