Subject: RE - Source for Portugese Language material
The Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (the
ALA equivalent for
Latin American Librarians,
http://www.library.cornell.edu/colldev/salalmhome.html) maintains
a list of vendors:
http://www.library.cornell.edu/colldev/salalmlibreroswww.html
For Brazilian material, these two vendors are commonly used:
-Fernando Garcia Cambeiro
-Sonia Silva
There are certainly others. Also, depending upon the size of your
program, you may also
consider using the Library of Congress' Cooperative Acquisitions Program
out the of the Rio office:
http://www.loc.gov/acq/ovop/rio/
For Portuguese material from Portugal, you might try Iberbook, Livraria
Portugal, Livraria
Sousa and Almeida, and Luso-Brazilian Books.
Good luck.

Can anyone recommend a vendor for Portuguese language material,
especially books
published in Brazil? We had tried working with one out of NY but the
results were disappointing.
Thanks,
