Dear Dr. Kumbar,
You wrote <snip>"As a part of this work, we would like to acquire

containing educational material that will supplement our teaching programs.

research institutions, learned societies and others." <snip>
One source you might want to check is the Internet Archives which
has a Moving Images section that has many video and movie selections
available for free download. A number of these would support
curriculums in Information and Communication Technology. The link to
the web site is: <http://www.archive.org/movies/movies.php>.
I hope this helps your new university.

Subject: Acquiring Educational Media
Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from India!
Ours is a new university set up in 2001 to impart higher education
and conduct research in the areas of Information and Communication
Technology. We have undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D programs.
To cater to the information needs of over 1000 students and 35 faculty
members, a Resource Centre ( Library) with state of the art infrastructure
and resources is being set up. Currently, our focus is to develop a quality
collection to support our teaching and reseach work. As a part of this work,
we would like to acquire and build a good collection of Video cassettes
(VHS), VCDs, DVDs, etc. containing educational material that will
supplement our teaching programs. We are particularly looking for the
material produced by academic and research institutions, learned
societies and others.
We are looking for sources for selecting such materials and as
well as specialised vendors who can supply the same to our Institute
in India.
I would highly appreciate, if colleagues on this list could help us in
getting
both bibliographical sources and the vendor names.
With warm regards
Kumbar
