Subject: Ordering E-Books

All,

For those of you who might be ordering E-books separate
from collections ... good luck.

I think I posted to this list initially asking if folks
had any experiences they'd like to share. I didn't hear
from many folks re: that, but several emailed and wanted
to know what we were doing. We went with a vendor that
we normally order print copy from. Big mistake. I suggest
going straight to Netlibrary (not sure if they'd be better,
but it would cut out the middle-person).

It's been a very frustrating experience trying to contact
our vendor to make sure the orders went thru...1/2 did, 1/2
didn't, though we were told that until we had 25 separate
titles, the vendor couldn't put through our order to
Netlibrary (their contract requirements); we had a question
re: the contract with Netlibrary...that took days to resolve.
More and more I'm thinking electronic books...yuck! We are
still in limbo.

Just wanting to share....
			deborah...
