Subject: RE - Split Funds for Purchases

We don't have a policy on this. We've started splitting funds more
frequently now that we have III as our ILS and it is very easy to do.
I'll be interested in libraries who do set limits and why. There may be
some issues that we haven't thought about yet.

Thanks.

Subject: Split Funds for Purchases

Expensive materials purchases are often split among several
funds. Acquisitions departments are accustomed to ordering
such items on split funds.

There are times, however, when selectors request that
inexpensive materials be split between a couple funds.
QUESTION: At what price level do you allow fund splitting -
$50, $500 or more? Do you have policies in place regarding
this matter?

- would appreciate hearing from you on this subject.
