Subject: Split Funds for Purchases

Expensive materials purchases are often split among several
funds. Acquisitions departments are accustomed to ordering
such items on split funds.

There are times, however, when selectors request that
inexpensive materials be split between a couple funds.
QUESTION: At what price level do you allow fund splitting -
$50, $500 or more? Do you have policies in place regarding
this matter?

I would appreciate hearing from you on this subject.
