RE: Information about AreaLibraries.com
We have purchased the Washington area directory and can vouch for this
being a legitimate company.

Subject: AreaLibraries.com Directory
Hello All, Does anyone know if www.arealibraries.com is a legitimate
operation?? It is a part of Media Publishing Services, but when I try to
find MPS online (by using a Google search and by checking
YellowPages.com) I cannot locate any additional info. It is supposedly
based out of Pennsylvania and publishes directories of Metro area
libraries. This summer, my library was sent a card that promised a
personal logon and password which would allow us to update our FREE
listing; then a few months later, they sent the username/password and a
form asking if we wanted to purchase a copy of the directory. When I
tried to call a number I did find for them, it simply rang and rang and
the email address they provide on their site help_at_mediapublishing.com
has yielded no response. Any info would be most appreciated. Thank you,
