Subject: Emerald web site down?
The Emerald-insight website has been down now for a week.
An attempt to e-mail them regarding this have not brought any responses.
Does anyone have any information on why they are down and for how long?

I received a personal phone call from Emerald's Sales & Marketing Director,
Bill Russell, in the UK this morning as well as this written apology:
Emerald would like to apologise for the partial loss of service of
www.emeraldinsight.com that some users experienced between 24th and 30th
December 2003. The problem was caused by the transition to an upgraded
server network. These upgrades are planned from time to time to ensure that
the Emerald website can continue to support the growing number of users of
our content. The upgrade was planned to take place during the quieter
holiday period to minimize any potential disruption.
This problem has now been resolved and the new system is fully operational.
