Subject: Verifying Order Information
I'm curious about the amount of pre-order verification librarians are
doing. I'm going through a stack of Choice cards and it occurred to
me that it would save some time if we don't bother checking the order
information in a vendor database (I have a student do this.). If any of
you are not doing much checking, have you run into problems? My
initial inclination is not to bother checking if the paperback edition is
noted on the card; otherwise, we do check to see if a paperback is
available.
Thanks -
