Subject: Approval Plans

We have had an approval plan with a major vendor for many years
and for the most part we've been happy using an approval plan.
We have not been pleased however with our transition from Baker
& Taylor's plan to the Yankee plan that they purchased. This may
be due to local peculiarities rather than the plan itself. Have other
academic libraries had difficulty with the conversion? Did you find
you needed to allocate more money to notification slips after the
conversion?

For any of the major approval plans, what percentage of your
monographic budget do you allocate to automatic shipment, to
notification slip orders, and to firm orders.

Thanks for your help.
