Subject: RE: ACQNET: RE - Requester Notification (5 replies)
We have developed an on-line ordering system by which the faculty and
librarians may place their requests. The request then is forwarded
to the librarian who is responsible for that department or school.
It is verified by the librarian, who first checks the opac and system
requests, and then sends it to acquisitions for purchase.
The requester is automatically notified when their request has been
ordered and again when it is processed and ready for circulation. If
for any reason the request is cancelled the requester is again
automatically sent an e-mail notification.
It is our Electronic Library Acquisitions Network. It works well and
we are pleased with it.
