Subject: Circulation stats

I've been asked to find out how we compare with other libraries in terms
of what percentage of our collection actually circulates, so we can go
into budget meetings well-armed.

Our statistics show 35% of our collection circulates or has circulated
while 65% has never been checked out. We have over 300,000 items.

I'm interested in finding out any or all of these things:

1) How big is your collection?

2) What percentage of it circulates?

3) What percentage has never circulated or been checked out?

4) What kind of weeding programs do you have--regular or as needed?
