Subject: Converting to Sirsi or Innovative Interfaces from DRA Classic
Dear friends,
We are a DRA Classic site and are in the process of deciding on a new
library system, since TAOS is no longer an option. We are deciding
between the following online systems: Sirsi or Innovative Interfaces.
If anyone has had experience moving their acquisitions data from DRA
Classic to one of these systems, I would appreciate any feedback you can
give me. Did you lose any data, were you able to transfer all of your
acquisitions information (supplier files, orders, invoices, funds,
encumbrances, etc.)?
For those of you migrating to Innovative Interfaces -- did DRA (now
Sirsi) give you a "hard time" about giving you your acquisitions
records? Did you get all of your information? What format did you get
it in?
Any feedback -- positive or negative -- on the acquisitions modules in
either of these systems would be most appreciated!
Many thanks to you all,
Narda Tafuri
