Freight Pass-Through
I have never seen this term on any of my invoices, but my
Acquisitions Clerk, who has a long history of purchasing (in non-library
fields), says that it is a charge that is passed on. If the publisher
charged the vendor "freight", the vendor passes on that charge to the
library. Usually, we don't see it called "freight pass through." We
just see a higher total cost on the item (or a smaller discount which takes
into account the freight cost that was paid by the vendor to the publisher.)
