Hello,
The Best Books set I think continues the BCL3 by covering the 1990s and
"early 2000s" whatever that means. It's 15 years more coverage than
BCL3. The contact information is :

Subject: RE - Best Books, Inc. WARNING
Sallie received the below warning from a reliable source who wishes to
remain unnamed.
(ACQNET knows the source and vouches for its credibility.)
Hi Sallie,
Best Books looks suspicious - see the warning below that was circulated
interally here about this:
This is a warning that there are suspicions that these sets being
advertised (Best books for academic libraries and Best books for
university libraries) are not legitimate publications. We have no order
for either yet, but lest anyone be tempted, I wanted to share what I
know.
It was found that the name of Michael Gille was associated with this
company. This may be one of the Gille family who has been suspect for
years for not delivering promised products and the origination of the
"Gille list" used by acquisitions librarians to avoid ordering from
those
companies listed. I have talked to a couple of listed "contributors" who
say that nothing has come of their contacts and requests to review
materials, and that they are disassociating themselves from this work.
