Subject: NASIG Preconferences
The North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG) is having
its annual conference in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the
College of William & Mary from 20-23 June this year.
This conference offers an excellent opportunity to learn
about the latest developments in serials, cataloging, collection
development, acquisitions, and other areas related to information
delivery and scholarly communication that affect serials
professionals. For more information about the conference,

Please take special note of our preconferences this year on
Thursday morning, June 20. The preconference on "Everything
You always Wanted To Know About Electronic Journals But
Were Afraid to Ask," is a great opportunity for those new to the
profession to learn the nuts and bolts of dealing with electronic
journals. There is also a preconference on "Implementing
MARC21 for Holdings : A Usable Revolution.," which will
help participants understand and use the MARC Holdings Format for
Serials. If you are unable to attend the entire conference,
you may register just for a preconference. (click on programs/
schedules and also registration)
NASIG members are encouraged to register early since the
preconference and conference registrations will open to everyone
after April 12 (today).
