Subject: Selection Help for New Integrated Library System
The South Dakota Library Network is looking for an integrated
library system to replace PALS. We are currently evaluating
and discussing RFPs and will soon be selecting systems to give
us extensive demonstrations.
If you have recently moved to a new system or are in the process
and are part of a multi-type consortium, I'm h
oping you can
share some your insights with us. I'm especially interested in
comments on acquisitions and serials modules. SDLN is a
consortium of just about every conceivable size and type of library
so all your comments will be helpful.
Please share:
Questions you asked of vendors and questions you wish you
would have asked.
What do you like about your new system and what you don't like.
Considering the system as a whole (OPAC, Circ, etc.) does your new
system meet your expectations.
