Subject: Migrating to a new Integrated Library System

I would appreciate in knowing what questions you would ask to prepare for a
move to a new Integrated Library System.

After a planned move to DRA TAOS we are now about to start the process of
migrating to SIRSI. I am interested in any questions I should ask about the
process, the product, the time line, the effect on the acquisitions
workflow, the ability to track and provide documentation for purchases,
interaction with vendors, other issues, etc...

We will be visiting a library on SIRSI next week, but my plea includes any
problems or delightful surprises libraries have had with a migration to any
new ILS. I hope by asking questions about potential problems and
possibilities we can make the appropriate decisions.

Please reply as you feel comfortable to Karen_Akins_at_tamu-commerce.edu or
the list. If interest exists, I will summarize for the list.

Thank you in advance for your insight,

Karen
