Subject: Re: ACQNET: RE - Setting up Amazon Corp. Account
I too started early in trying to establish a corporate account;
however, my experience was the opposite. This largely arose
because, as a state institution, we could not accept the
click contract accepting Utah law and jurisdiction. After
e-mail and phone exchanges, Amazon said that they understood
that other states could not be subject to the laws of other
states but that was immaterial. They could/would not change
the contract.
This raises questions about why they pretend to
want library accounts from the public sector. With alternatives,
we don't miss having a corporate account.
