I say hurray for the new invoices, but I can see how the volume of packing
slips for a law library must be mess. One hand gives, the other takes away.

Here at Willamette College of Law Library, we are just as disgusted with
West Group with their new "system." We have complained as individuals and
our director has written a formal complaint regarding the new packing
slips. (The first slips we received were "a bad batch" and refused to peel
off the boxes. Now we are getting the gluey ones that peel off, but have
to be adhered to a piece of paper so the don't stick to other invoices,
packing slips, etc., etc.)

Our West rep. has been very nonchalant. "Oh sorry, but the institutions
that we did a trial with, loved them." Yeah, but he won't tell me who
they are! Being a law library we handle so much West material, and we are
so displeased with this new system and West's response.
Keep on complaining!

Mornin', Eleanor....

Please tell Jackie that I could not agree more about the annoying
packing slips from West. However, I received my first 'new format' invoice
from West yesterday, and it is much improved - the tax is actually printed
on the invoice, which makes (for me, at least) the packing slips less
critical!!

We already complained too about the messy task of trying to save these
packing labels which we also hold to process with the monthly
statements. They responded they were sorry and were improving the glue
so they would peel off more easily. Which they did. Today, we received our
first new invoice. More complaints about the crazy divisions and fine
print.
