We do allow split funds.  In fact we encourage it for some of our
departments with small allocations.  We really have no limit as to the
dollar amount or percentage.  Our ILS can deal with either scenario.  The
only problem we have encountered is if one account is a non-fiscal year
account and the other is on a fiscal year.  Our ILS can't handle that and
we have developed a work around for that.  (We create a dummy fiscal year
account for the non-fiscal year account, limiting it to the amount of the
