Subject: Online sources for rush orders
Hi All,
We are receiving more and more "rush requests" from faculty with Amazon
URLs attached and the hope that they might receive these items within a
week or so. We value our faculty's support and endeavor to get items to
them as quickly as possible. Our regular vendor cannot get rush items to
us in under two weeks. However the shipping costs at Amazon are costing
us an arm and a leg - we are located in Canada.
We do check the Canadian online stores, Chapters and Indigo, before
placing orders with Amazon but much of the time Amazon offers (and
delivers on) a much shorter time period. I am now looking at other
possibilities (not having had much success with other online US vendors) -
such as ABE for small Canadian vendors who would send items express - but
do not want staff to spend too much time searching different sources
either.
Does anyone have any suggestions for "rush orders" of this kind?
Naomi Lloyd
