I'm interested in finding out what issues need to be considered, other than
financial, in deciding whether or not to join a shared catalog project. The
Montana State Library does a certain amount of original cataloging, and its
collection is government oriented. We are looking at joining a shared
catalog group that is composed predominately of public libraries. Are there
any reasons why we should or should not join this group, based on cataloging
concerns or types of OPACs?

Thanks in advance for your input,
Sarah
