Long ago I was a subscriber on a list called MediaLib. I don't have current
subscribing info, but I remember this was a common topic. At that time there
was one somewhat eccentric company in New York which could sometimes supply
an out-of-print video for a price. The name was Video Oyster, maybe. Other
than that, there was not much hope. Often videos which are out of print have
been withdrawn by the producers and cannot legally be copied or sold.
Than again, maybe the whole ball game has changed in the past couple of
years...

Subject: Vendors for out of print videos
I am seeking advice about sources for out of print videos. We have been
asked to order one and need to find out what other libraries have done. We
are a State University and prefer vendors who will ship and bill, but will
consider other options if necessary. Any assistance will be greatly
appreciated!
