PRESS RELEASE
Lisse, the Netherlands, 11 October 2000

OECD journals now available via SwetsnetNavigator

Swets Blackwell is pleased to announce the addition of all 23 of OECD's
electronic journal titles to SwetsnetNavigator, their electronic journal
service. Online access to full-text articles, abstracts and tables of
contents from this prestigious publisher are available free with a
subscription to the corresponding print journal. The addition of OECD's
titles brings the number of full-text journals accessible via
SwetsnetNavigator to nearly 4,900 (this figure includes approximately 1,100
Elsevier Science journals which are only accessible for authorised NESLI
users of SwetsnetNavigator, whose institutions are also subscribers to
ScienceDirect).

The OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) is an
inter-governmental organisation of 30 member countries, originally formed in
1948 and containing countries from Western and Central Europe, North
America, the Far East and Australasia. Its primary purpose is to provide
members with a forum to research, debate and develop economic and social
policy. As a direct result, the OECD is the independent publisher of more
than 250 publications per annum, including a staggering 98 million
statistics which have been verified and made comparable, making it one of
the world's largest and most reliable sources of data.

Mr. Toby Green, Head of Marketing at OECD, commented: "We have worked very
closely with Swets Blackwell to be able to offer our online service
SourceOECD. With the availability of our journal titles via
SwetsnetNavigator, we are looking forward to enjoying increased visibility
and usage. We will continue to build on the successful working relationship
with Swets Blackwell, towards the objective of making all OECD material
fully accessible."

SwetsnetNavigator offers a single point of access to a large range of
full-text titles, as well as tables of contents and abstracts. 75 publishers
are currently participating in SwetsnetNavigator, and further information on
the growing number of titles available in the service can be found by
visiting www.swetsnetnavigator.com.

Swets Blackwell is the single largest subscription agent in the world,
handling 2 million subscriptions annually. Their database contains nearly
250,000 titles from over 65,000 publishers. Swets Blackwell communicates in
25 languages with over 60,000 academic, medical, corporate and government
library customers through their branches in 19 countries across five
continents.
