Not yet, but many folks have e-mailed asking if the ARL plans advanced
workshops in their area. Indeed, we will plan future workshops, but we
normally do so in response to a specific query from an institution or other
organization who is willing to provide some support to the local
arrangements. ARL handles all reservations and payments, but the help with
advertising, site selection, and local information from folks in the area
makes a big difference in the success of the event.
If you are interested, please contact Mary Case, at ARL (202) 296-2296 ext,
112 and she'll work out a date with you for the workshop.
Have you taken a look at the ARL web site announcement? I'm personally
really excited about the advanced workshop because I see it as an
opportunity to learn even more about how we all handle the day-to-day
issues as well as hear from the publishers.
