Technical Service librarians in the State of New Hampshire Community Technical College system are state employees and fall under neath the same salary schedule and advantages (?) of all other state employees. Unfortunately, the position has been frozen for many years at Labor Grade 17 which equates to an Instructor's position. While nominally faculty, and active in the faculty, there is no hope for the professorial advancement. Once hired, the position remains static.
Currently, our present contracts pays LG 17 in five steps, allowing small compensation for longevity:

Step 2 28,587.00
Step 3 29,776.50
Maximum 31,102.50
