You are invited to participate in the survey called "Metadata
Practices in Digital Scholarship”. This survey is designed to gather
information on metadata practices at academic, public and other
libraries in relation to digital scholarship. This includes metadata
planning, creation, controlled vocabularies, metadata
standards/schemas, reference or consultation. The survey has a
particular emphasis on metadata reference and consultation services.
Digital scholarship is defined in this survey as research and teaching
that is made possible by digital technologies or that takes advantage
of these technologies to ask and answer questions in new ways; digital
scholarship can include work done in the Digital Humanities,
E-Science/data management, electronic theses and dissertations, or the
digital intellectual and scholarly output of an institution.
Participation is voluntary and you may withdraw from the survey at any
time. All responses are anonymous. No names or institution
affiliations will be asked.
The survey should take approximately 30 min. to complete. If you have
