There is the open source option pazpar2 which provides federated 
searching of z39.50, SRU and uses Apache Solr. There is also a Drupal 
module that provides additional functionality so that through Drupal you 
can work with Koha and pazpar2.

I haven't been able to get it to work, but there is supposed to be a way 
to set it up with Koha. See:
