at Lehigh University:

Cataloging/Metadata Librarian

Lehigh University Libraries, in Bethlehem, PA, has an opening for a 
full-time Cataloging/Metadata Librarian to assist with several new, 
exciting initiatives including the implementation of an institutional 
repository (hosted in bepress's Digital Commons) and an open source 
online library system (Kuali OLE). This position is responsible for 
cataloging and creating metadata for scholarly resources in all formats 
and for providing quality bibliographic access to scholarly resources in 
library systems. The position requires in-depth knowledge of MARC 
standards and AACR2, as well as familiarity with new and forthcoming 
tools and initiatives, such as RDA and BIBFRAME.The candidate must have 
3-5 years of experience with complex-copy and original cataloging.Batch 
cataloging is a growing responsibility and a strong cataloging 
background will aid in quality control but should also be accompanied by 
a knowledge of batch processes and tools available to accomplish these 
processes, such as MarcEdit.
