If we continue to provide subject access in the way we do, what are we
NOT doing,
Making your data available for google to trawl.
and who are we NOT serving?
You do not serve all those users who have learned that google is a one
stop shop that works.
and while I was typing this I see yet another rant that shows a miss
understanding about what google does for us.
"The catalog is not the library"
May I state the obvious to all the cataloguers and librarians, you
need to publicise your holdings to get customers.
You cannot in the modern day expect your customers to waste fuel to
come to your door to find out what you have.
