Algorithms are also the difference between abstractions (Google = Nazis and predators) and solutions (I'm working on a prototype system to demonstrate what I mean. You can have it when it's finished.).

Bikeshedding is more like getting too concerned with metaphors like trains, and focusing on the metaphor instead of fixing the problem.
