We're talking about one very foolish aphorism that completely escaped the
consideration of possible consequences, making Godwin an unwitting "tool."
One ought to be careful not to create rhetorical tools that can be used
to deflect attention away from predatory ideologies and potentialities. In
this sense, Godwin was as irresponsible as anyone who has ever done any
manipulation.
Have a parallel: Whenever libraries are mentioned, catalogs are
inevitably considered their core value, particularly when one wants to
dismiss the value of explaining how to interpret information rather than
spoon-feeding it.
