Very interesting if what you say is true about not being able to display
the meaning of the classes!  It brings the conflict between proprietary
information and the use and dissemination of knowledge right to the heart
of the practice of librarianship. Surely that can't be why no one (that I
know of) has developed an interface that focuses on finding your range in
the classification first and browsing from there.
