I have worked with LibX and if you had read my previous messages you
would see I have already mentioned it. It is a good product but
certainly not any solution. APIs have to be made but even those are not
solutions because that is not where the real problems are. I have worked
with several other technologies and more than most probably. I realize
people are trying their best.
Of course I have a lot to learn, but I dare say, so does each and every
one of us, as is illustrated by the current, sad state of the cataloging
field today, everyone from cataloger to IT. I am frustrated too. For
instance, it becomes very painful to try to have reasoned and rational
discussions with people who insist on insulting others, call them
ignorant and so on, when you say something that doesn't agree with their
own ideas. Of course, the fact is: nobody knows the right way today.
When discussions turn into arguments, it becomes difficult to advance.
