Since there was some off-list interest in this topic, I just wanted to let anyone interested know that I have put the presentations that I gave at ALA Annual on the FRBR and moving images project up in what I hope is a useful form.
Overview of the project:

or

On our current work on extracting information for a FRBRized interface from existing MARC records:

or

The first ten slides in both presentations are pretty much the same so skip those if you look at both.

Subject: FRBR and moving images at ALA
For anyone who might be interested, I'll be giving two presentations at ALA on OLAC's work with FRBR and moving images.
On Friday, June 22, I'll be giving an overview of our proposed project to use FRBR and facets to improve access to moving images. This will be during OLAC's Cataloging Policy Committee meeting at the Hilton Anaheim, San Simeon room and will start at approximately 8:45 pm (I know--not your favorite time for a meeting, but at least it won't conflict with any other official meetings)

On Sunday, June 24 at 10:30 am, I'll be talking about the aspect of the project that we're currently working on. We're using the XC Metadata Services Toolkit to experiment with automated extraction of data elements describing moving image works from existing MARC bibs. This will be at the Cataloging & Classification Research Interest Group's session (full description below) in the Hyatt Regency Orange County - Grand Ballroom E.

Hope to see some of you there!
