We are currently using LibraryWorld as our OPAC (very recent decision), as
well as testing Libguides for our library home page. To make searching
easier I would like to have a search bar on the page, in a box, and I know
there is code out there that other libraries are using with Libguides.
LibraryWorld doesn't provide the code to create an actual search, you can
only link to the catalog.
I was wondering if anyone has attempted to embed a LibraryWord OPAC search
in a webpage, blog, Libguide, etc... and of so would you be willing to
share the code?
Or if anyone has an idea of how to do this? I borrowed code from another
library and edited the HTML to reflect our library and used the link for
our LibraryWorld OPAC, but it's just a link, it doesn't actually search.
Or maybe someone can point me to another list or group or individual that
might help?
Thank you,
Rhonda
