At Computers In Libraries 2011 a Google employee gave a great tip for
finding book cover images using Google images. She very quickly had an
answer to a question similar to "that blue book about bunnies".
She used Google Images and its color filter buttons on the left margin to
find a "pink book about Rosa Parks." All she did was type "Rosa Parks" into
the search bar, select the pink tile from the left margin, and one of the
images in the search results was a biography about Rosa Parks - book cover
pink.

Aside from that example - a very real one in public libraries - I have found
it handy when patrons are trying to distinguish between books with identical
titles, or figure out the last book they read of a series.
We use Syndetics to provide cover images in our Polaris catalog.
