Heard about open source software but not sure it makes sense for your library? Curious to know what open source software packages for libraries are out there? With funding from the Mellon Foundation, LYRASIS released FOSS4LIB.org earlier this year. With the tag line "Helping libraries decide IF and WHICH open source software is right for them" the site has information geared towards libraries looking to know more about open source software.

On March 28th from 4pm to 5pm Eastern time, I'll be presenting a free webinar that describes the features and plans for the site. Like the FOSS4LIB.org website itself, this webinar is open to members and non-members of LYRASIS. To register, for the webinar on the 28th or one of the ones later this year, just send me an e-mail.
