The Hesburgh Libraries at the University of Notre Dame seeks a Web
Developer.
The incumbent participates in creating, maintaining, and supporting the
Libraries' websites and performs a variety of creative duties using an
array of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools to design
and produce high quality web pages as well as posters and other graphic
and print materials to meet educational and promotional needs of the
library.
Requires a thorough knowledge of HTML, the ability to edit previously
created simple scripts, typically written in PHP or PERL, but possibly
also Ruby. Ability to effectively problem solve, communicate with a wide
variety of people, and the ability to work and learn in a rapidly
changing environment. Demonstrated knowledge of CSS, XHTML, javascript.
Experience with graphic design.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with usability, XML, XSLT,
RDBMSs, and/or HTML5 a plus.
