Thanks, Laval. What a fantastic project: Die vollständige Digitalisierung des gedruckten deutschen Kulturguts des 17. Jahrhunderts. And interesting pages in Latin. I notice that they did not translate "Newsletter" into Latin. How would you tackle that one? Clearly they have a sense of humour, defining CD-ROM this way:

CD-ROM (Compactus Discus, qui Rerum Occultarum Meminit)

Keep up the good work spotting these things for us.

Subject: [NGC4LIB] "Digitizing an entire [German] century" -- Das 17. Jahrhundert geht online.

Good news from a neighboring country here, in a press announcement issued today by the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel :

http://www.hab.de/wir/presse/pressemitteilungen/2011-03-23-masterplan-vd17.htm

( And no Google in sight. )

And by the way, I just noticed in the meantime that the HAB now offers its website in three languages :
German, English, and, yes : Latin. ( Though those last two versions are not [yet?] complete, defaulting to German deeper down -- and also where this press
release is concerned. ) Anyway : enough to make a
former classicist's day :-).
